Japanese bastardization of McDonald's, which is already such an awful place anyway, to be able to make it worse is truly an art.

We all know already how much Japanese love to shorten long words, and well, Makudonarudo is a perfect example of simply too long of a word. Therefore, of course, there is a shortened way to say it.

In Tokyo and the surrounding areas in Kanto, McDonald's is shortened to:

maku

However, in Osaka and it's surrounding areas, McDonald's is shortened to:

makudo

Just another silly example of differences between dialects.
