Madaline stands for "Many Adalines." A Madaline networks is a two-layer neural network with each neuron in the first/input layer connected to each neuron in the second/output layer. Weights, then, can be represented with a two-dimensional matrix of size inputXoutput. Madaline networks are, by far, the most commonly used neural networks currently.
