In the year 1989 Apple decided it was time to try for the portable market in the computing business.
The product was the Macintosh Portable.

CPU: Motorola 68000 at 16MHz

RAM: 1MB (Max 8MB)

ROM: 256kB

Display: 9.8" active matrix monochrome, 640x400

Hard drive: 40MB SCSI

Floppy drive: 1.44MB

Battery life: Up to 12 hours

Weight: 7.1kg

The display is the best thing about this machine. It is one of the best of its kind I've seen, but it lacks backlight. Apart from the display, there's not really any value in it, except as a collectors item.
