A famous hardcore punk band from Varese. The name stands for the initial of Mikhail Alexandrovic Bakunin, a radical russian anarchist. The band was founded as a high-school classmates band in 1986, and is still alive and active today. Their latest record, called La Guerra Infinita (in italian "endless war") was released in 2001 and features a lot of two-minute songs with overdistorted frantic guitars and the heart-taking drum lines they're quite famous for.

MAB's songs are usually centered on a number of subjects

• The loneliness of a man in the post-modern era
• Left-wing politics
• Animal liberation

and have quite a number of fans around Social Centres and punk gigs in Northern Italy
