A Lu Ann Platter is the Texas Bluehair version of a combo meal. Available at Luby's Cafeteria, the platter consists of a half-sized (technically its Lu Ann size) entree, two vegetables, and your choice of bread. It is a relatively cheap way to get a sit-down meal that, depending on the day, can vary in quality from not very good to actually quite decent. Many a Texan child has spent his Sunday evening over a Lu Ann Platter of Catfish, Spinach, Corn and a Dinner Roll. Of course, if you were a good little boy or girl your parents got you some jell-o as well.
