A community college located in Belleville, Ontario. For a small college it offers a suprisingly wide variety of courses ranging from Electronic Engineering to Biotechnology to Child Management. Tuition is fair and the bureaucracy makes a sincere attempt to keep the bullshit to a minimum.

An interesting (if apocryphal) tale about my alma mater is that it was originally named the "South Hastings Institute of Technology" and things had progressed quite a bit before some bright young manager noticed the unflattering acronym this presented and it was decided to change the name to "Loyalist".

I feel the possibilities for creating a disturbing mascot were greater with the first name myself.
