1900-1979 . Great-uncle of Prince Charles and great-grandson of Queen Victoria. Former naval officer and Viceroy of India. Killed by IRA terrorist Thomas McMahon in 1979 when a bomb, made by McMahon, blew up his fishing boat in Donegal Bay, Ireland.
