Leila (full name:
Leila Arab) was born and grew up in
Iran. Her family fled the
Islamic revolution when she was 7 years old and settled in
London,
England. She was educated at an exclusive boarding school until her dad went
bankrupt. She went to comprehensive and then onto
university where she dropped out of to play
keyboard for
Bjork.
After the success of
Debut and
Post, she built a
studio in her
bedroom and from there she went on to produce two of the finest pieces of
electronica ever to grace my
speakers.
