Prolific California-born Chinese-American writer, has written dozens of books. He covers genres and audiences, with everything from re-written Chinese fairy tales for small children to young adult science fiction to adult novels. He's even edited anthologies of Asian-American fiction and plays. Yep's favorite material involves either Chinese folklore or the early Chinese-American experiences in America, but he also writes about Hiroshima and about genetic engineering. Very versatile, and an excellent writer--his kids' and YA books are highly recommended next time you need to buy a book for an 8-16 year old.
