Larry Levan (RIP), was one of the most inspirational DJs of all time. Mainly playing in the Paradise Garage, New York Mr Levan is responsible for raising the profile of disco, funk and soul music, creating the vocal dance music style now referred to as 'garage'. His pioneering use of two turntables to mix, and delay effects pedals mean he is a true innovator.
