A traditional Jewish toast. From the Hebrew meaning "To life!" It may also be used to refer to the drink being used for making the toast, although in my experience this is uncommon.
Also written lehayim or lechayim. The ch here is pronounced like a hi, but with that dipping into the back of the throat sound that pops up in Hebrew every so often.
