"Ghost Story" This is the title of a collection of folk tales gathered by Lafcadio Hearn, an
American who lived in
Japan in the Meiji era.
It is also the title of a film by Masaki Kobayashi, a tremendous work based on Hearn's book, with score by Toru Takemitsu (1964 Toho Scope, color, 164 min).
