This is a chain of small restaurants that sell small, square, hyper greasy hamburgers. The burgers themselves are called "Krystals" and are consumed by the patrons (mostly jocks and rednecks) by the dozen.

Krystals are a fixture of the southern United States. In the north (and western?) parts of the country they have the same thing, only they're called White Castles.
