The King of Cartoons is a Character on Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. His driver would run in to Pee-Wee’s place and blow a trumpet, and then the King would enter. He carried with him an old projector, the kind that is not so uncommon in today’s public school A/V department. He would then show an old cartoon, edited down to the point where it was about 30 seconds long. The King of Cartoons was played by William Marshall.
