One of the Keyhole series of IMINT satellites. This is generally what's going up when the Space Shuttle has a secret mission. Imagine a Hubble Space Telescope with a maneuvering thruster and pointed at the earth. The KH-12 uses image intensifier tubes and advanced optics, for an estimated resolution of 10 centimeters. The KH-12 uses digital imaging relayed through the TDRS instead of the film used in older Keyholes.
