First Anglican Bishop of Toronto, a 19th century power in Upper Canada. He founded the Cornwall Grammar School in 1803 (later Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School), King's College in 1827 (later the University of Toronto), and Trinity College in 1851. He died on July 1, 1867.
