An American actor, best known for announcing the slogan "Timex: takes a licking and keeps on ticking" on commercials from the 1950s through the 1970s. Born on April 4, 1906, and died on August 15, 1995, according to IMDb. His feature film career is somewhat limited when compared to his work in television. In 1959 and 1960, he hosted some episodes of To Tell The Truth. Most of his other credits are as a narrator or host, which is appropriate given his smooth baritone voice universally identified with television commercials of the time.

He was married and had two children, although I don't think that Patrick was one of them.
