Dr. Irene Pepperberg is teaching African Grey Parrots to do more than just mimic. She is teaching them skills that we have typically reserved for higher mammals; counting, object identification, and verb articulation. It is fascinating to see a Parrot perform so well. Dr. Pepperberg has done most of her work at the University of Arizona.
