A distributed memory computer built by Intel out of gobs of nodes and a fast interconnect. Each node had two or three i860 microprocessors sharing some DRAM and a chip that supported low-latency (5ns), high-bandwidth (175 MB/s) message passing.

The system ran Mach 3.0 with OSF/1AD on top, and had a front panel with 1000's of blinking lights that were cooler looking than the CM5's.
