A person who avails his assistance to members of an organization, usually a university, in the realm of technology, so that the organizational members may utilize available technology to teach better, present information better, or do their job better generally. In the late 1990's, Instructional Technology positions become a staple of OIT departments, although these positions existed under different monikers for years.
