in pari delicto

A Latin expression from roman law that means "of equal fault". Usually about breached contracts where the two parts are equally blamed for the fault or breach. It can also be used about partners in crime. "The two men killed their common mistress when they found out that she was zoophile, and are guilty of the crime in pari delicto."
