(given name Kunihiko.) An anime director.
Ikuhara was born in 1964, and debuted as assistant director in 1986 with Maple Town Monogatari. The series director was Sato Junichi, under whom Ikuhara would work a lot.
Ikuhara's big breakthrough came in 1992, as assistent director of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. He directed episodes 6, 11, 31, 46, and is said to be responsible for the anime version of the character Hino Rei (Sailor Mars)'s personality. He also directed Sailor Moon R The Movie.
After Sailor Moon, Ikuhara was series director of Revolutionary Girl Utena, which was aired in 1997. He recieved the Kobe Award at Animation Kobe '97 (And Utena recived the Best TV Animation award).
