The unofficial center of the known universe for Icehouse games, along with the official site at IcehouseGames.com. It houses the Icehouse Wiki, an informal not-for-profit organization of game designers and players that runs the sort-of-annual Icehouse Game Design Competition.
The site is currently "pwned and operated" by Mike Sugarbaker, aka e2's own misuba.

There's been some discussion over the years as to whether nodes like this are useful. Would you rather just have ".com" hardlinks lead to outside links? Does it open the door for spam? Where do you draw the line between noteworthy websites & spam, and do we really want to get into notability wars a la Wikipedia?
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. /msg me or sound off on the E2 Forum.
Or just downvote this node into oblivion, if you're not feeling articulate. That works too.
Update (2 June 2008):
Lots of interesting feedback! It's odd that, a week later, this w/u has a positive Rep score (+16/-8) even though 5 of the 6 noders who messaged me felt the w/u was pretty useless. Still not sure what to make of that.
Chras4 says I would rather have a blurb about a website than just the hardlinks.. I like to know where I am going and for what before I go there... so....yes...I think this is useful
oakling says i think it's interesting that this was semi-followed by Zhongwen Red (Ed note: a similar w/u linking to http://zhongwenred.com, now nuked --RP). coincidence? possibly! i think that writeups like this are not useful, but they can be if they're longer... i'd like to see nodes about websites treated the way anything else is, so for example i'd like to hear stuff here about how misuba started doing stuff there, what icehouse games are, more about the wiki, etc. 'Cause lord knows i've noded my own sites in the past!
Dreamvirus says I think it's fine to have nodes about websites if they contain interesting information or discussion about the site, I don't think yours is long enough though. I didn't downvote you but I normally would any node this short...
Apollyon says I think that all nodes should live and die by their own merits, nodes like these can be very useful and are one of the ways i find out about esoteric internet sites therfore if they are also writen as a review with some ballence personal opinion and aren't just blatently an advert then i will upvote them, however this one would be downvoted.
sam512 says This node is itself effectively spam, regardless of the noteworthiness of the site.
TenMinJoe says My 2 cents; this seems pretty pointless to me. What do I gain from this writeup that I wouldn't be able to learn by visiting icehousegames.org itself? Why would I be looking up a URL on E2 in the first place?
