Suddenly we fly
lifted by the pull
of the soul.
For it has been said
"In true love, it is the soul
that envelops the body"1

Suddenly we fall
burdened by the weight
of the soul.
For when the soul
loses its love
we are pulled down by its sorrow.

Dangerously we tread,
our feet dancing on
the tightrope swaying
precariously in the wind;

When the rope breaks,
Do we soar majestically
over the horizon....Or,
do we cling onto those
doomed Icarian Wings?
