IEEE Spectrum is the monthly house journal of the IEEE. Although it can be found here and there on newstands and in bookstores (Barnes and Noble has it, at least in New York City anyway), most circulation is to members of the IEEE, who receive a subscription as part of their membership. Unlike the other publications of the IEEE, IEEE Spectrum is not written for specialists. Topics covered include electronics, space technology and exploration, power generation and distribution, aviation, transportation, communications, military technology, nanotechnology, MEMS, physics, materials science, biomedical engineering, software, etc.
