I remember sitting in Calculus class, years ago, and this blonde girl comes into the room. I had been infatuated with her since the beginning of the term. She was younger than I was, since I didn't pursue the college life until five years after graduating high school. At any rate, she was late coming into class. I recall looking up from my notes, and seeing her, half turned, closing the door. As my eyes began to take her in, my brain was in this no man's land of confusion over what we were covering in the lesson. I watched as she made her way down the aisle to her seat. With my brain in it's addled state, everything seemed to happen in slow motion and I became transfixed by her hair and the way she moved. I felt like a spell had been cast upon me and wished that it wouldn't end. As I slowly began to emerge from the epiphany, I wrote this little ode so that I would remember the moment.

Delicate curves
Ease into
A chair.
Soothing,
So enchanting
And yet,
Stealing the moment.
As if it,
Was always,
Will forever,
Be yours.
