Persian Sufism teaches that reality is divided between 3 parts, which are also divided into nine climes.
Hurqalya is the land of the eighth clime, the "Heavenly Earth." It is situated at the summit of the mountain
Qaf between our
physical world and the
transcendant world - it is a
barzakh (screen) between them. It is the boundary between
earthly time and
eternity.
Earthly paradise is in the western part of
Hurqalya, and earthly hell is to the east.
