Hueco Tanks, Texas is (was) a
bouldering destination characterized by iron-hard
syonite crimps,
edges,
pinches,
slopers, and most notably,
huecos for which the park is named. The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department recently put a virtual moratorium on
climbing and bouldering in the Park by an inane sequence of mindless restrictions. Once it was
Mecca for bouldering, now reduced to a trailer-park overflow for
paint-huffing miscreants.
