Honey Bucket is a brand of
outhouse I see all over the
Portland, OR area. I see them at most
outdoor concert events, food festivals, and the like. I find it really amusing that
someone would name one of the stinkiest possible things a "honey bucket". A honey bucket should be the name of a big
tub of, you guessed it,
honey! A super huge, jumbo industrial
kitchen size tub of honey. But no, its an outhouse. A portable honey
toilet.
I drove behind a truck carrying a bunch of these today on the freeway. It didn't bother me much since I had the windows up. Then, I started wondering if the Buckets were empty or full. A vision of a big outhouse full of who-knows-what crashing through my windshield flashed through my head, and I decided to change lanes.
