Not to be confused with North Hollywood, a term used to refer to Canadian cities (especially Toronto and Vancouver) and their growing popularity as movie locations for big Hollywood film studios. Reasons for using Canadian sites include the lower cost of filming (including the effect of the exchange rate), cooperative city officials and police and more unspoiled wilderness.
