The alternative to
Blockbuster. In my limited experience with the chain of rental stores (limited to one in
Decatur, Alabama), it's a national chain with locations damn near everywhere. In 1999 it had a deal with
Sega to rent the
Japanese Dreamcast here in the
States before the system came out. It seems like Hollywood is on par with Blockbuster in terms of stores and service, but it seems like their selection of movies is slightly broader. But, at my store anyway, their
DVD selection isn't to quality. According to the front door their hours are from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 365 days a year. They even have the handy dandy exterior drop box, which means
lazy people don't have to get out of their car to return a movie. And some people have been know to be seen
talking with the Hollywood Video drop box, but this is a rare occurrence.
