Holly Marie Combs was born in San Diego, California on December 3, 1973. After her parents divorced, she and her mother, Lauralei, moved to New York, where she attended the Professional Children's School. At the age of seven, her stunning looks were already beginning to turn heads. This resulted in jobs in print ads and commercials for young Holly. Before long, these experiences lead to the desire to act. After a few bit parts and some movies including Sweet Hearts Dance in 1988, Born on the Fourth of July in 1989 and Dr. Giggles in 1992, Holly's big break came when she landed the role of Kimberly Brock on Picket Fences, the show created and produced by David E. Kelley which aired on CBS from September of 1992 to June of 1996. In 1997, Holly Marie Combs portrayed Diane Zamora in Love's Deadly Triangle: The Texas Cadet Murder, the true story of a 20-year-old former Naval Academy midshipman who was found guilty of assisting in the 1995 murder of a 16-year-old girl who had slept with her boyfriend, former Air Force Academy cadet, David Graham. in 1998, Holly's good friend, Shannen Doherty told her about a new television show about three sisters who happen to be witches. They are good witches that save the world from evil. Holly auditioned for the role of Piper Halliwell on Charmed. Holly Marie Combs is now known worldwide for her role on that hit show soon to begin its fourth season on the WB. In a 1999 interview with InStyle Magazine, She said, "I've been pretty lucky. I've done stuff I've enjoyed, and worked with people I've liked, and learned from my experiences. I just kind of take it as it comes." The experience of working on two shows has strengthened her faith in her own abilities and in her future. Holly has proven herself to be a versatile actress.
