Heartland is the heaven most parents abuse. And I guess if Heartland is a heaven, I was Jesus. Or an angel, at the very least. Most D&W grocery stores have a daycare center that is available to all customers with children between the ages of 18 months and 8 years old. Unfortunately, most of the children who were dropped off and left for me to care for were the type the parents simply did not want around. The parents were free to wander the endless aisles of food and diapers while I was left to entertain up to 23 noisy kids at once who all ran in opposite directions and did whatever they thought they were not allowed to do. Bottom line: never work at a grocery store.
