German vocalist of heavy metal band Blind Guardian. He is a huge Tolkien fan, which reflects in a lot of Blind Guardian songs.
Lately, he worked together with Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth on their side-project Demons & Wizards (2000), and did a guest-appearance on Therion's album Deggial.
