The HK Saluting Gun which is basically a
non offensive /
non defensive cannon is one of the more obscure products ever to come out of the
Oberndorf factory.
It fires 75 mm blanks with a very loud report.
For use in military, government, or even religious ceremonies* the HK Saluting Gun looks and operates much like the wheel mounted cannons of the pre WWI era.
Think Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam.
While not high on my HK want list, I can only imagine for now what kind of fun I could have with this beast.
*In some parts of the
Islamic world, the HK
Saluting Gun is used to announce
sunrise and
sunset during
Ramadan.
