A brewpub in Portland, Maine. With another location in Freeport, Gritty's is Portland's premiere location for the quaffing of the amber nectar. Opened in 1988, Gritty's was the first brewpub in Maine since Prohibition. English style ales, and traditional pub food, make any visit to Portland's historic Old Port district a waste if you don't stop by for a pint. Try the Brown Ale, it's my favourite beer in the world.
