Fun, but difficult to sing. There's a nasty chord change that I always miss when playing the song in my head.

The lyrics are confusing, too: 'God only knows how I feel about you.' Why, are you scared to think of me?

My favourite Beach Boys song, needless to say.

In conversation, "God only knows" can also be an idiom to mean "I don't know". This is often used when the question's answer or outcome is random or uncertain.

Q: Who do you think will win the Final Four?
A: God only knows.
