The Moody Blues began, as many British groups in the '60's, as an Rhythm and Blues band. They were pretty good at it, too. Nowadays, however; you probably know them as some sort of psychedelic pretentious joke.

Their first single had been "Steal Your Heart Away" in September of 1964, but it went nowhere fast. I always remember them for their first hit, "Go Now," from November of 1964. It peaked on the charts in America at number 10, but had reached number 1 earlier in England.

This particular incarnation of the band never had another hit.
