In Norse Mythology, Gimle is the fairest hall of all of the halls in Asgard where the gods will be sent after Ragnarok.

According to the Prose Edda Gimle is "fairest of all and brighter than the sun" and it will stand even when both heaven and Earth are no longer for the good and righteous to forever exist in a their heaven called Vidblain. All of the splendor of the elevated heavens above Asgard culminates in the southern most point of the realm where Gimle is located. Before Ragnarok, only the Light Elves reside there and the Einherjar reside in Valhalla. While even the gods will perish in Ragnarok the hall will withstand the end of the world and forever be the home of the blessed souls since Odin gave man a soul that will live forever.

Gimle is mentioned in Völuspá, a poem in the Poetic Edda:

More fair than the sun, | a hall I see,
Roofed with gold, | on Gimle it stands;
There shall the righteous | rulers dwell,
And happiness ever | there shall they have.

In the Uppsala Codex version of Snorri Sturlason's Elder Edda it is said Gimle is guarded by Surt, who is there called the king of forever happiness at the southern end of the heavens. After Ragnarok the new order of things will develop there when humanity is reborn through Lif and Lifthrasir.
