The intermediate mode of a Valkyrie variable-geometry fighter in the Macross anime. Known as Guardian mode in Robotech.

The GERWALK mode has wings like Fighter mode as well as arms and legs like Battroid. It is useful for&VTOL as well as for ground-effect maneuvers.

GERWALK is an acronym, but I don't remember the expansion for it. Any help, anyone?

According to the Macross Compendium, it stands for: Ground Effective Reinforcement of Winged Armament with Locomotive Knee-joint.
