The Nymph Furrina was the divinity of a spring and a sacred wood that were located on the right bank of the Tiber, at the foot of the Janiculum. In the Republican era, she was considered to be one of the Furies, but her shrine gradually fell into disuse and was taken over by some Syrians, who introduced their own practices there.
