A somewhat pejorative term for Fundamentalists. Particularly for Christian fundamentalists who are particularly conservative, self-righteous, and/or/notlimitedto isolationist. Often used by other Christians, rarely by other Fundamentalists. However, most fundies do not know what the word fundy means when they are called it, however. Big fundy issues include Special Creationism, evolution bashing, violence and sex on TV, violence and sex on the Internet, violence and sex, pornography, abortion, and divine inspiration of the literal rendering of the Bible (66 books).

Note: The term fundy is almost exclusively reserved for Protestant evangelical Christians. There are certainly fundamentalist Catholics and Muslims and so on, but "fundy" is not generally applied to other varieties.
