The Frito Bandito was created for Fritos Corn Chips by Tex Avery in the late 1960's. The voice of the Bandito was Mel Blanc, also known for being the voices of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig, among others. The Frito Bandito dropped from use by the company in the 70's because of the negative stereotype he portrayed. Frito Bandito prizes used to come in packages of Fritos and included erasers, flower seeds, colored pencil, poppers, and rings. The Frito Bandito Song remained popular for a long time. The words were:

IyEEEE IyEEEE IyEEEE IyEEEE
I am the Frito Bandito
I Love Fritos Corn chips
I Love them I do
I Love Fritos Corn chips
I Steal Them from you !
(Especially for you !)Alt. verse used in later ads

Iyeee Yiii Yiii Ya Yiiiiiii
I am the Frito Bandito
Give me some Fritos and I'll be your friend
The Frito Bandito you must not offend!

Iyeee Iyeee Iyeee Iyeee,
I am the Frito Bandito.
I like to eat Fritos I like to I do.
If you have some Fritos I'll eat them for you!
