Finglas was one of the three oldest Ents at the time of the War of the Rings (The others being Fladrif and Fangorn). By this time, however, he had become what the Ents called "treeish." This means that he moved very little, and became sluggish and sleepy quickly. His name means "leaf-hair," and he was covered with leafish hair.
