Series of
benefit concerts started in
1985 by
Bob Dylan,
John Mellencamp,
Neil Young, and
Willie Nelson. The idea was to raise
money to help out
family farms which were being
deicmated in the
Reagan era.
Unlike most of the 80's charity concerts, this one actually survived, and Farm Aid 2000 takes place in Virginia this September.
