Fand

Wife of Manannan mac Lir, who tried to woo Cuchulainn in "The Sickness of Cuchulainn and the One Jealousy of Emer". This wooing rather annoyed Emer, Cuchulainn's wife, who was able to get Manannan to shake the mantle of forgetting between the two. Emer's price? That Cuchulainn would never sleep with her again; however, it meant that he wouldn't be drawn into the Otherworld either, making him hers forever.

Fand is sometimes thought to be the Irish Aphrodite.
