I use the ethanol blend of gasoline in my car because it reduces pollution and is a renewable resource. My whole life is the way it is because of farmers. My father owns a business that relies on farmers to call him and have him do work for them. My dad has a successful business doing this. My dad is one of many water well drillers in the state of Nebraska. The least I can do is use a product that can help raise corn prices and give back to the farmers. It is also currently subsidized by the government where I live so is the same price as the cheaper 87 octane fuel. Most of the time in my area I have found the ethanol blend to 89 octane, which helps my car run. Ethanol is also an alcohol so it absorbs water which keeps my fuel line from freezing if the gas station has problems with condensation in their fuel barrels.
