Short story by Jean-Paul Sartre. Subject of the story is one man's (Paul Hilberts') hate towards toward humanity. The name Erostrate comes from the guy who burned down the temple of Efesos because that was the only thing he could think of to become famous. Notice that in contrast to the burner, almost nobody knows the architect of the temple itself.
