I believe she is colour blind, or
her life's aspiration is to be
an eyesore.

She can't match clothing (and,
of course, I'm no authority myself,
my wardrobe is nothing at all,
a few of the cheapest shirts, some
loose jeans, some tighter ones,
people say it's high school,
the way I dress, even if I wore
those one kind of pants in high school, the ones
where you unzip the legs to make shorts).

But Emma looks like spilled paint, like she was caught,
unawares, in the bombing of a babyGap,
located somewhere deep in the Banana Republic.
