Dollar coin minted in the United States between 1971 and 1978. It was fairly large maybe about an inch and a half in diameter. On the front side was the 34th President of the United States. On the reverse side of the coin was an eagle landing on the moon, except in 1976 when the reverse had the Liberty Bell and the moon. Infinitely more useful than the Susan B Anthony which immediately succeeded it, or the recent Sacajawea Dollar Coin.
